Morning side of the mountain, Osmond 패밀리의 남매 듀오 Donny & Marie...
1970년대 초 Michael Jackson의 형제들로 구성된 흑인그룹 Jackson5와
쌍벽을 이루던 백인그룹으로 Osmond Brothers가 있어
묘하게 흑백대결이 이뤄진 꼴이 되었네요.
잭슨가족처럼 이 오스몬드형제들도 각각 솔로로도 활발한 활동을 하였으며
특히 1963년생 막내 Jimmy의 'Mother of Mine'(‘72),
57년생 Donny의 'Puppy Love'(’72),
1959년생 누이 Marie의 'Paper Roses'(‘73)는
지금까지도 널리 애창되고 있는 곡이며, Donny의 'Puppy Love'는
우리가 잘 아는 Paul Anka의 오리지널 곡이기도 합니다.
한편, 이들 중 Donny와 Marie 남매는 듀엣으로 활동하며
방송진행자로도 대중에게 어필하였던 만능재주꾼이었는데
